Good way to start the day? Do a photoshoot with Goofy! This is at least how we started our second day at the Hotel Cheyenne before having breakfast!
After breakfast we saw the lovely Jessie taking pictures with the kids and then we jumped on the metro to Paris.
Dopo colazione abbiamo visto la dolcissima Jessie fare foto coi bambini, poi siamo saltate sulla metro direzione Parigi.
The first place we visited was Notre Dame Cathedral. You should know that I’m a church-junkie, not for my being a Catholic, but because everytime I visit a city or a town I always go visiting the church. There always gonna be a piece of art in a church, it’s kind of a free museum open to anybody. I believe that if you want to know the story of a place, the church has to be the beginning. Because of this idea, I have visited sooooo many churches but I’ve never, never, seen something like Notre Dame. I don’t even have words to explain how entraanced I feel anytime I go there! I love the building, that is so majestic, the sculptures so detailed and of course the giant glass walls. If you’ve never been there GO TO and you’ll totally understand! We were also lucky to be there for the celebration of Notre Dame’s 850th anniversary.
Obviously the following place to visit couldn’t be nothing else but Tour Eiffel! After a little bit of thinking we decided to not go upstairs because of the giant queue waiting for the elevator, we just took some photos and admire the majesty of the tower.
Then it was the time for a walk in the Champs de Mars’s gardens. A things that I always do when I’m here it’s take an amount of photos 🙂
Another thing that I always do when I’m in Paris and that we couldn’t miss is the itinerary on the Seine with the Bateaux Mouches. It’s cheap and romantic and way to see many important monuments from a different point of view.
After docking at the port it was time to go back on metro. I had to take a picture of the beautiful interior!
We got out at the splendid Musée D’Orsay we continued our tour.
Scese allo splendido Musée D’orsay abbiamo continuato il nostro giro.
On our way to Musée du Louvre we stopped at Pont des Art. I know there are a lot of discussions about this bridge, expecially after that part of the railing and fallen into the Seine, but coming from Italy, where there are lockets on EVERY F***ING BRIDGE after some italian movies who showed this idea, it wasn’t something so strange to see for me. Anyway we were there just because it’s so touristic and we wanted to take some photos (and ok MAYBE because of Marco Mengoni’s Non Passerai video…)
And then, as I said, we were at Louvre, and after the long walk we took a break sitting between the pyramids.
Then it was time for a walk in jardin des Tuileries with a deserved snak with crepe (yeah, we realized that we actually hadn’t launch!)
After that we crossed place de la Concorde and we take a walk along the Champs-Elysées till the amazing Arc de Triomphe.
From there we took the metro again to Montmartre, which I like because it’s like a city inside the city.
We immediately went to the beautiful Sacre Coeur. Me and Ila, tired as we were, took the funicolar to raise the top and Ludo, braver than us, decided to climb the stairs. We meeted on the balcony, like in a romantic movie, with this spectacular view, my favourite all around Paris.
After sitting for a long time on the steps enjoying street artists’ shows we went for a walk down Montmartre streets. Gluttons as we are we had to stop at the famous Maison George Larnicol, look at this Notre Dame completely made with chocolate!
And it was time to go back to Disneyland, we arrived just in time to see Disney Dreams show again. We had dinner at McDonald in Disney Village and then we went to bed for a very deserved rest.
P.S. Follow me on Bloglovin, Instagram and Twitter, if you’ll tell me I’ll be happy to follow you back! 🙂
