Are you my clarity?

 

I’m stucked at home, with a lot of snow outside, they said it didn’t snow like this here since 1954. Not even my parents were born! If the majority of people hates snow, it’s actually my favourite weather. I love the atmosphere and the fact that we’re all together (yes, even my parents are in Colorno since friday and they won’t go away till tuesday!) and we chat a lot, we drink hot chocolate and we build snowmen. Also I’m in those days between two exam, when you’ve already studyed everything almost perfectly and you don’t know what else to do, you just wait. And is these days of waiting that I realized I didn’t go shopping since… december!!!! Not even online!!!! Crazy!! So I needed a tour on my first choice e-shop: Zalando. I still haven’t decide what to buy right now, but here’s a list of my favorites that I really want to share with you.

Topshop western jeans jacket: I’ve always had a jeans jacket in my wardrobe, it’s one of these must-haves that sooner or later we all buy. I’ve always had Levi’s ones, currently I have two: one really tight and one super oversize with some orange details. I was actually realizing that I don’t have a cosy middle size when I saw this wonderful superbasic model even on sale. Also the style is that simple that I think it will last till the end of days.

Gabriele oxford shoes: I’m gonna say a really unpopular thing right now, just don’t panic. I don’t like shoes. The majority of the time I hate buying shoes. Right now there’s this sneakers madness, where girls wear the sneakers they use for running with almost everything, I’m not into it. And I’m never gonna be. I don’t like sneakers if they are not really special and different and if they haven’t lace is better. I wear boots with everything. Better in leather and the higher they are, the better I feel. Also I like wearing sandals, but not under 7cm of heels. I mostly never wear flats cause I think they aren’t for me. Saying this I have an Achille’s heel: oxfords. God if all the shoes were oxfords I would have zero shoes-problems. I’ve always been in love with them, and I wear them since ages before they were ‘in’. If someone will force me to spend all my money for the rest of my life in just one type of thing I would do it for oxford shoes. These ones I picked on Zalando are flawless with a bunch of color but still classy and wearable with everything.

Sono bloccata in casa, con un sacco di neve fuori, dicono che non nevicava così qui dal 1954. Neanche i miei genitori erano nati! Se la maggior parte delle persone odia la neve, per me è il meteo migliore di tutti. Mi piace l’atmosfera e il fatto che siamo tutti insieme (sì, anche i miei sono a Colorno e non se ne andranno prima di martedì!), chiaccheriamo tanto, beviamo cioccolate calde e facciamo pupazzi di neve. Oltretutto mi trovo in quel momento tra due esami in cui hai già studiato tutto più che bene e non sai cos’altro fare, aspetti e basta. E in questi giorni di attesa ho realizzato una cosa: non faccio shopping da… dicembre!!!! Neanche online!!!! Assurdo!! Per questo avevo bisogno di un giro nel mio e-shop di prima scelta: Zalando. Non ho ancora deciso cosa comprare, ma eccovi una selezione dei miei preferiti che ci tengo a condividere con voi. 

Topshop western giacca di jeans: Ho sempre avuto una giacca di jeans nel mio armadio, è uno di quei must have che prima o poi tutti compriamo. Le ho sempre avute di Levi’s, al momento ne ho due: una molto attillata e una molto oversize con alcuni dettagli in arancione. Stavo giusto pensando che non avevo una comoda via di mezzo quando ho visto questo modello veramente basic e anche in saldo. Inoltre il taglio è così semplice che credo potrebbe andare bene da oggi fino alla notte dei tempi.

Gabriele oxford: Sto per dire una cosa molto impopolare, solo non impazzite. Non mi piacciono le scarpe. La maggior parte delle volte odio comprarle. In questo momento sono tutti pazzi per le sneakers, le ragazze indossano le scarpe che usano per correre con praticamente qualsiasi cosa, un trend in cui non mi adatto. E in cui probabilmente mai mi adatterò. Non amo particolarmente le sneakers se non sono diverse dal solito e molto particolari e se non hanno i lacci è meglio. Indosso gli stivali con tutto. Meglio se sono di pelle, e più alti sono, meglio sto. Mi piace anche mettere i sandali, ma non sotto i 7cm di tacco. Non indosso quasi mai le ballerine perchè penso non siano per me. Detto questo, ho il mio tallone d’Achille: le oxford (francesine, stringate, o come volete chiamarle). Se tutte le scarpe fossero oxford avrei zero problemi. Dio se le adoro, le indosso da milleni prima che fossero di moda. Se qualcuno mi obbligasse a spendere tutti i soldi che guadagnerò nella mia vita per un solo tipo di cosa senza dubbio li spenderei nelle oxford. Il paio che ho trovato su Zalando è perfetto, con un tocco di colore ma allo stesso tempo davvero basico e portabile con tutto.

 

Even&Odd backpack: I’ve always loved the touch of backpack in a classy outfit. My favorite is a vintage yellow one I have stolen to my sister when she moved that looks amazing with a total black. For years I’ve been thinking about buying one in brown leather, maybe it’s the time with this beautiful one from Even&Odd that is also kinda cheaper than the others I’ve seen before!

Zainetto Even&Odd: Mi è sempre piaciuto il tocco che dà uno zainetto in un outfit un po’ più classico. Il mio preferito è uno vintage giallo che ho rubato a mia sorella quando si è trasferita e che trovo stia divinamente con un total black. Per anni ho pensato di comprarmene uno in pelle marrone, e forse è arrivata l’ora con questo veramente bello di Even&Odd che oltretutto costa anche meno di quelli che avevo già puntato prima.

Artengo tennis racket: Recently my friend Veronica and I decided that when classes will begin at college, together with our usual gym-routine we’ll start playing Tennis on friday, which I’m pretty excited about. She had tennis classes before, I’ve just played it during the summer with my dad so I hope that I wouldn’t be that bad. I currently have my racket in lilac from Artengo, but you know, I love tennis outfits, so maybe having two rackets to coordinate them with my tennis-dresses isn’t that bad 😉 Decathlon wait for me, I’m coming!

Racchetta da tennis Artengo: Insieme alla mia amica Veronica abbiamo deciso che non appena rincominceranno le lezione all’università insieme alla nostra solita palestra inizieremo a giocare a tennis il venerdì, cosa che mi fa molto felice. Lei ha già fatto delle lezioni di tennis prima, io ci ho solo giocato con mio papà d’estate quindi spero di non essere così terribile. Al momento ho una racchetta lilla sempre dell’Artengo, ma sapete, adoro i completi da tennis, quindi magari avere due racchette da coordinare con i miei vestitini non sarebbe così male 😉 Decathlon arrivo!

Nixon Kensington watch: Before my birthday, when I was gifted of two watches, one from my friends and one from my mother, I wasn’t the biggest fan of them. But both of my gifts were that nice that I decided to give them a try and well, I’m glad I did! Now I always need to watch the time on my wrist and I actually don’t go out without one of them on. Maybe it’s time to expand my collection to a new model like this one from Nixon which intrigues me for the denim band that is quite different from the majority of watches you see around, and you know I HATE wearing what everyone’s wearing.

Orologio Nixon Kensington: Prima del mio compleanno quando mi sono stati regalati due orologi, uno dai miei amici e uno da mia mamma, non ero la più grande fan di questo accessorio. Ma entrambi erano così carini che ho deciso di dar loro una possibilità, e sono contenta di averlo fatto! Ora continuo a guardare l’ora sul mio polso e non esco mai senza uno dei due addosso. Forse è arrivato il momento di espandere la mia collezione ad un nuovo modello come questo di Nixon che mi intriga per il cinturino in jeans che è abbastanza diverso dalla maggior parte degli orologi che si vedono in giro, e lo sapete io ODIO indossare quello che indossano tutti.

Twintip t-shirt: And finally this tee. For the majority of you this is just a simple printed tee, but for me definitely not. I think I’ve said one time that I was a softball player. Actually I was a softball player from 8 years old to 18 years old. I’ve played in every role, but my first was the pitcher. I’ve played with many team and also in international competitions. During these 10 years, softball was my life and the girls in my team were my sisters. Then I’ve started living with my grandma, which mostly mean living alone with someone you have to take care of, because she’s old and now Im the one who tend to our big house and our pets, also I’ve started a very demanding college and competitive level training was something impossible for my schedule. Leaving it was hard, difficult and even now I miss those days very much. Is probably for this reason that now every fashion or decorative item that has something to do with softball or baseball has to be mine. So I’m gonna buy this t-shirt for sure, and I think I’m gonna wear it again and again and again.

T-shirt Twintip: E infine questa maglietta. Per la maggior parte di voi questa sarà semplicemente una maglia stampata, ma per me non è così. Vi avevo accennato una volta di essere stata una giocatrice di softball. La sono stata infatti dagli 8 ai 18 anni. Ho giocato in tutti i ruoli, ma il mio primo ruolo era la lanciatrice. Ho giocato con molte squadre e anche in competizioni internazionali. In quei 10 anni il softball è stato la mia vita e le mie compagne di squadra le mie sorelle. Poi ho iniziato a vivere con mia nonna, che per meglio dire significa vivere da sola con qualcuno di cui ti devi occupare, visto che essendo anziana sono io ora ad occuparmi della nostra grande casa e dei nostri animali, inoltre ho iniziato un’università davvero impegnativa e l’allenamento agonistico è diventata una cosa incompatibile con i miei orari. Lasciarlo è stato duro, difficile e ancora adesso mi mancano tanto quei giorni. Penso sia proprio per questa ragione che ogni capo o oggetto d’arredamento che abbia qualcosa a che fare con il baseball o il softball deve essere mio. Comprerò senza dubbio questa t-shirt, e penso la indossero ancora, ancora e ancora.

P.S. Questa mia esperienza col softball tornerà presto sul blog, con un progetto molto importante che non vedo l’ora di condividere con voi.
