Salerno and Giffoni: day 2

Our second day started in the early morning, having a big breakfast at the huge buffet in our hotel. Then we went out on the seafront, where we had a little time to shoot my outfit if the day, very casual, in anticipation of the long day coming.

Il nostro secondo giorno è iniziato la mattina presto, con una bella colazione al gigantesco buffet del nostro hotel. Siamo poi uscite sul lungomare, dove abbiamo avuto un po’ di tempo per scattare foto del mio outfit del giorno, molto casual, in previsione della lunga giornata che ci aspettava.

After that we took the Giffoni Film Festival shuttle, we took on the ipod and listen the right music for that day (x and x) while travelling. Let’s see if you understand who we were going to meet (no, scrolling down the page is not allowed!)

Dopodichè abbiamo preso la navetta del Giffoni Film Festival, tirato fuori l’ipod e ascoltato la musica giusta per l’occasione (x and x) durante il viaggio. Vediamo se indovinate chi dovevamo incontrare (no, scendere nella pagina non vale!)

Arrived in Giffoni, we took our reserved ticket to meet HIM, and we went to sala Sordi, waiting to go inside.

Arrivate a Giffoni, abbiamo preso i nostri biglietti pre-riservati per incontrare LUI, e ci siamo dirette verso la sala Sordi aspettando l’ingresso.

And there he is: Matt Bomer. (Read it like OH MY GOD I’M IN THE SAME ROOM WITH MATT BOMER HFDIOHGUHERUGHRUIH!!!!!). Believe me when I say he his the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen in my life, and no, photos, video, tv or movie screen don’t get the idea of how beautiful he is in real life, so close as I’ve seen him. Ok, let’s forgot (~~yes, for sure~~) the how-beautiful-he-is part, and let’s talk about why I really love him. He’s one of my favourite actors, and I like him for his versatility, and the facility he got of changing character. I love so much his eyes, not for their beauty (or better not also), but for how he can really comunicate with them, I mean sometimes he can do an entire scene without saying a word, thanks to his huge eyes and body communication. Lot of you may have seen his most famous work: White Collar, where he shows all his charisma, but you cannot miss things like Tru Calling, Magic Mike, his singing performances on Glee and what I think it’s his most touching and beautiful work: The Normal Heart.

The meet&greet was really interesting, he said so many things about his works:

– It was quite difficult to act in The Normal Heart, he tried to show the will to live of his character. He prepared himself so much to his scenes, also renting a theatre where he could work every day on them. The more he was close to his character, the more he was losing weight.

– He’d like to be in Glee again because it was an amazing experience.

– He’s gonna miss White Collar cast, but this is the right moment to make it end in an upsetting way.

– He loves art, especially Impressionism, but he cannot draw. The troupe of White Collar always makes fun of him for his way to draw.

– He actually doesn’t know the story of 50 Shades of Grey (Ed. for some days everyone was saying he would be the main character).

– He believes that gay roles are important, but without running into stereotypes.

– He’s working on Magic Mike 2.

– He’s working on a documentary on the anti-gay laws in Russia.

– He’s working with Melissa McCarthy.

Ed eccolo qui, Matt Bomer. (Leggetelo come: OMIODDIO SONO NELLA STESSA STANZA CON MATT BOMER HFDIOHGUHERUGHRUIH!!!!!). Credetemi quando vi dico che è l’uomo più bello che io abbia mai visto, e che no, le foto, i video, la tv e il cinema non gli daranno mai la bellezza che ha dal vivo e da vicino come ho potuto vederlo io. Ok, dimentichiamo la parte quanto-è-bello (~~sì, come no~~) e passiamo al motivo per cui lo adoro davvero. E’ uno dei miei attori preferiti, lo amo per la sua versatilità e la sua facilità nel cambiare tipo di personaggio. Amo i suoi occhi, non per la loro bellezza (o meglio non solo), ma per il modo in cui comunica con lo sguardo, a volte può fare scene anche senza dire una parola grazie alla sua grande capacità di comunicare gli occhi, ma anche il corpo. Molti di voi conosceranno il suo lavoro più famoso White Collar, dove mette in mostra tutto il suo carisma, ma non potete perdervi cose come Tru Calling, Magic Mike, le sue performance canore in Glee, e il suo lavoro a parer mio più bello e emozionante: The Normal Heart.

Il meet&greet è stato molto interessante e ci ha detto diverse cose riguardo ai suoi lavori:

– E’ stato abbastanza difficile recitare in The Normal Heart, ciò che ha cercato di fare è stato far vedere la voglia di vivere del suo personaggio. Si è preparato molto per le sue scene, anche affittando un teatro nel quale le poteva provare e lavorarci su ogni giorno. Più era vicino al suo personaggio, più perdeva peso.

– Gli piacerebbe prendere di nuovo parte a Glee, perchè è stata una bellissima esperienza.

– Gli mancherà il cast di White Collar, ma è il momento migliore per farlo finire e in una maniera anche un po’ sconvolgente.

– Ama l’arte, in particolare gli impressionisti, ma non sa disegnare, anzi spesso la troupe di White Collar lo prende in giro per questo motivo.

– Non conosce la storia di 50 Sfumature di Grigio (ndr per alcuni giorni tutti pensavano che lui avrebbe interpretato il protagonista).

– Crede che i ruoli gay siano importanti, ma senza incorrere negli stereotipi.

– Sta lavorando a Magic Mike 2.

– Sta lavorando ad un documentario sui comportamenti anti gay della Russia.

– Sta lavorando con Melissa McCarthy.

After the meet&greet we went to the Cittadella to meet Giusy, after a year!

Dopo il meet&greet siamo andate alla Cittadella, per vedere Giusy dopo un anno!

Then we spent the afternoon in the Cittadella, waiting for Matt on the blue carpet before (and after) his interview with the jurors.

Abbiamo passato poi il pomeriggio in Cittadella, aspettando Matt sul blu carpet prima (e dopo) la sua intervista con i giurati.

It was time to say bye to Matt and take the shuttle back to our hotel, to relax a little bit before dinner.

E’ arrivata quindi l’ora di salutare Matt e prendere la navetta per il nostro hotel, per rilassarci un po’ prima di cena.

After the great dinner of the night before, we decided to dine again in Brera, inside the Grand Hotel Salerno. This night we went for spaghetti with clams and a couple of great desserts to end this perfect festival day.

Dopo l’ottima cena della sera precedente abbiamo deciso per cenare di nuovo al Brera, dentro il Grand Hotel Salerno. Questa volta abbiamo optato per spaghetti alle vongole e un paio di deliziosi dessert per concludere questa perfetta giornata di festival.
