This was supposed to be a simple outfit post, already written, edited and ready to be posted, but I’d feel numb without saying anything about Paris. My Paris. Who is following me probably knows my endless love for this city that I use to call home away from home. I’m writing now, on balance and with a clear mind. I discovered what happened yesterday morning when waking up I’ve read a message from a Parisian friend and I’ve fallen to pieces. I was reading the information on the internet and, I admit it, all I was feeling was anger. Like probably many of you, all I wanted to do was hurt those subjects, hit them in their ‘state’, as they call it. But after blowing off steam this initial anger I’ve realized that is exactly what they want from us, to have new excuses to hurt people and spread sorrow. The real way to destroy those ‘people’, if you can call them like that, is to keep living happily and in peace. On Thursaday I’ve posted a photo on instagram from my last trip to Paris where I was saying that I wanted to go back and this desire is not gone today, isn’t changed, I’m not afraid to go to Paris. As much as I’m not afraid to go to Rome, London, Washington and all the other places that these imbeciles will threaten to attack. I’ll stay myself, I’m not going to be the fearful or embittered version of me, I’ll stay like I am now. And you too, feel free to jump on the first plane to go to your favorite city, to go out in the streets, to be yourself with your dreams, your passions, the little things that make us different the one from the other, just like we are.
And now just a few words about the outfit, shooted by Ila just before sunset on brown tones, a color that I discovered I love to wear. I’ve also added a gold lipstick inspired by Prada’s Gold 001, do you like it? Hope you’re going to have a beautiful sunday 🙂
Questo doveva essere un semplice post di outfit, già scritto, editato e pronto da pubblicare, ma mi sarei sentita un’insensibile a non dire niente su Parigi. La mia Parigi. Chi mi segue da un po’ probabilmente conosce il mio amore infinito per questa città, che con un’espressione inglese bellissima, che non ha pari in italiano, chiamo ‘home away from home‘. Scrivo adesso, a conti fatti e con la mente lucida. Ho scoperto quello che era successo ieri mattina appena aperti gli occhi tramite il messaggio di un’amica parigina e il mondo mi è crollato addosso. Leggevo le informazioni su internet e, non ve lo nego, tutto quello che provavo era rabbia. Avrei voluto, come sarà sicuramente successo a molti di voi, fare del male a questi soggetti, colpirli in quello che loro chiamano ‘stato’. Ma dopo aver sbollito questa rabbia iniziale ho realizzato che questa è proprio la reazione che si aspettano da noi, per avere di nuovo scuse per fare del male e seminare dolore. Il vero modo per distruggere queste ‘persone’, se così vogliamo chiamarle, è fargli vedere che continuiamo a vivere felici e in pace. Giovedì avevo pubblicato una foto su instagram dal mio ultimo viaggio a Parigi dove dicevo di voler tornare e quella voglia oggi non mi è passata, non è mutata, io non ho paura di andare a Parigi. Così come non ho paura di andare a Roma, Londra, Washington e tutti gli altri posti che questi balordi vogliano minacciare di attaccare. Io rimarrò me stessa, non diventerò la versione impaurita o incattivita di me, rimarrò così come sono. E anche voi sentitevi liberi di prendere il primo aereo per andare nella vostra città preferita, di uscire per strada, di rimanere voi stessi coi vostri sogni, le vostre passioni, le piccole cose che ci rendono diversi gli uni dagli altri, così come siamo.
E ora due parole sull’outfit, scattato da Ila appena prima del tramonto, utilizzando diversi toni di marrone, un colore che ho scoperto di amare. Ho anche aggiunto un rossetto color oro ispirata dal Gold 001 dello show di Prada, vi piace? Vi auguro una buona domenica 🙂
